Summary of the Bible in 66 Days: 33. Requirements: Micah 6:8
Micah 6:8 ESV
He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
What's good? People sometimes ask. Justice is good: righteousness rewarded and evil punished.
We're to love kindness. Kindness isn't just something to do when we feel like it. It's to be a way of life.
We're to walk humbly with our God. We're not to get arrogant if we are just and kind. We're to be thankful to God for his work in our lives.
Jesus is the ultimate fulfilment of this verse. In him God is just and the justifier of the ungodly. He's kind and humble, and our Saviour and Lord.
'Dear Abba God, we praise you for your Son Jesus, in whom we have forgiveness. May we ever live for you, by your Spirit and in Jesus' name, amen'.
