Youth
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12 (ESV)
We often say that with age comes wisdom, but it's possible for young people to be exemplary too. Paul gave Timothy some fatherly advice about how to set a good example, even as a young man. We shouldn't take nonsense from anyone.
People shouldn't be ageist. We shouldn't despise youths. We can learn from them, not just from our elders.
Paul urged Timothy to be exemplary in his speech. He didn't have to be a stereotypically foul mouthed youth. Similarly in conduct he could be good in how he lived.
Love is the heart of everything. We're to love God and one another. By His Holy Spirit we can do this. Faith and purity mustn't be overlooked either.
'Heavenly Father, forbid that we would be childish, but may we be childlike in our faith in You. For Your glory, amen'
