Freedom
Zion shall be redeemed by justice, and those in her who repent, by righteousness.
Isaiah 1:27 ESV

How can God redeem us from our sins and yet still be just? After all, our sins cry out for our just condemnation. Thankfully, Christ was condemned in our place, so that we might go free.
God was just in punishing Christ as a willing sacrifice on our behalf. Because He has paid the price, we can be delivered from the condemnation we deserve. How can we be saved?
We need to repent. We need to turn from our sins and convert to Christ, whatever the temporary cost. We do well to remember the eternal reward for entrusting our lives to Him.
Righteousness is not our own, for we have none intrinsically. Righteousness is all of Christ. By faith in Him unrighteous people like us can become righteous.
'God of justice, thank You for the redemption and righteousness we can enjoy in Christ. May we repent and receive His blessings, in whose name we pray, amen'
