Summary of the Bible: 7 Judges- Anarchy
In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
There is officially a king in the U.K. today. Yet spiritually, everyone does what's right in their own eyes. We even have people who say 'Not My King' and seek to disown our head of state.
We have two ways to live. We can live with Jesus as the King of our hearts. Or we can deceive ourselves that we're our own kings, when in reality we're in thrall to the usurper satan.
Jesus is our rightful King. He has defeated the devil, sin, death and hell. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords
Because Jesus is King, we have no right to do what is right in our eyes. We must do what is right in his eyes. God's opinion on right and wrong is the truth that matters, not 'living our own truth'.
'God, forbid that we would seek to dethrone you from your rightful place as the Lord of our lives. May we worship you as you deserve. For your glory, amen'.
