Remembrance
Philippians 1:3 ESV
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you,
Are we mindful of each other? We should be. As we remember each other, we ought to be thankful.
The Apostle Paul was thankful for the Philippian church. He was confident that God who began a good work in them would carry it through to completion on the day of Christ Jesus. God wasn't about to give up on them half way to glory.
When people remember us, do we give them cause to be thankful? The Philippian church was a great encouragement to Paul. Are we encouragements to one another?
We can even thank God for difficult people, who he uses to help refine us. Everyone is created in God's image and likeness, however much that likeness has been married. Everyone is either a blessing or a lesson.
'Dear Lord, please help us to be thankful in our remembrance of one another. Thank you for your thankfulness for us, and willingness to give yourself for us, for your glory, amen'.
