Immovable

 Psalm 55:22 ESV

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.


God doesn't want us burdened by our sins. He wants us to leave our burdens at the foot of the cross. Jesus bore the burden of our sins when he died for us.

Jesus said 'come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' His yoke is easy and his burden is light. Our burdens are heavy, but we can leave them with him.

God sustains his people. Even if we die, he grants us eternal life, through faith in Christ crucified. Nothing can separate us from his love.

None of us are righteous by default. We need God to make us righteous through faith in him. If we do believe in him, we're immoveable spiritually, nothing can shake us from spiritual safety.

'Lord our God, may we cast our burdens upon you, and may you sustain us. For we ask in Jesus' name, amen'.

Power

 But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.Exodus 9:16 ESVhttps://bible.com/bible/59/exo.9.16.ESV  Secular historians point to the lack of extra-biblical evidence of Hebrew slavery in Egypt and ensuing exodus. But here in this verse, God describes how this anonymous Pharoah has been immortalised in the annals of the Hebrews, so that God is proclaimed in all the earth. The mighty men of the world might think they can stand against God and win, but resistance is futile!  The more stubborn Pharoah was, the more the Lord was able to display His power. The more insistent Pharoah was of keeping his slaves, the more unreasonable he appeared. Light

  'Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. ' Psalms 119:105 https://www.bible.com/bible/116/PSA.119.105 What is God's word to us? A dusty old tome? Irrelevant to our modern age? This verse reveals what it was to king David of Israel. The Bible was to David literally a bible as it were, a definitive guide, to life, the universe, and everything. It isn't just some philosophical work, it's very practical as to how we ought to live. It also shows what to do when we realise we don't live up to God's commandments.
