Blessings

 We look forward to possessing the rich blessings that God keeps for his people. He keeps them for you in heaven, where they cannot decay or spoil or fade away.

𝟭 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟭.𝟰 (𝗚𝗡𝗕)


God’s blessings for His people aren’t primarily temporal. We can pray for our daily bread. Yet God has so much more in store for His people than our needs.


We have an eternity in heaven to look forward to. Moths cannot destroy what God has for us. Thieves can’t steal God’s blessings from us.


The greatest blessing God gives us is eternal life. We could die physically, be murdered even, but we’ll still get to enjoy eternity with our Lord and Saviour.


Nothing can separate us from the love of God. His love is the greatest blessing we can receive. We’re more than conquerors through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us.


‘Dear Lord, we look forward to the receipt of all Your blessings that You have in store for us in glory, for the honour of Your name, amen’

Power

Helper

  Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. Psalm 54:4 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/psa.54.4.ESV Being a helper is a humble role. Humanly speaking, we want to be the main act, not the side show. Yet, even though God is the director of life, He isn't afraid to step on stage to help us out. We might assume that the helper is subordinate to the helped. After all, if someone is deemed worthy of help, they must be important, right? Jesus came not to be served but to serve however. To be helped doesn't require us to do anything. To help is greater than to be helped. Better to actively contribute to someone rather than to simply passively benefit from someone's assistance.
