Fruitfulness
As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.

Jesus was a good storyteller, but He wasn't just an entertainer. There was always a spiritual meaning to what He had to say. The parable of the sower is a classic example.
The sower sowed the farmland, but only some of his seed landed on good soil. God sows His word into people's hearts. Only some respond positively.
God isn't so much interested in people hearing His word for the sake. He wants them to put it into practice. Similarly, a teacher doesn't teach just for fun, they want their students to do what they tell them.
Jesus hints at the fact it isn't necessarily easy to bear fruit for Him. It takes time and patience. We need to be good and honest with what we receive, and obey the word of the Lord.
'Lord God Almighty, may we obey Your word as we ought. May we bear much fruit for You and Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen'
