Sing

 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.
Psalm 30:4 ESV

Singing is the overflow of a joyful heart. It's the kind of thing sports fans do when their team is winning. It's the kind of thing wedding guests do to celebrate a couple's love.

We have every reason to sing praise to the Lord, for in Him we have the victory. We celebrate His extravagant love. He has turned us from sinners into saints.

Sinners moan. Saints sing. We are made holy through faith in the Lord, and we give thanks in joyful song.

Thanksgiving and selfishness are incompatible. If we know how much God has done for us, we ought to be thankful. There's no room for ungratefulness in the family of God.

'Dear Lord, we sing thankful praises to You, because we know that joy will be our portion. We are not destined for destruction, but for a glorious eternity with You, to Your praise and honour, amen'

Power

Helper

  Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. Psalm 54:4 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/psa.54.4.ESV Being a helper is a humble role. Humanly speaking, we want to be the main act, not the side show. Yet, even though God is the director of life, He isn't afraid to step on stage to help us out. We might assume that the helper is subordinate to the helped. After all, if someone is deemed worthy of help, they must be important, right? Jesus came not to be served but to serve however. To be helped doesn't require us to do anything. To help is greater than to be helped. Better to actively contribute to someone rather than to simply passively benefit from someone's assistance.
