Division
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Mark 3:25 (NIV)
This verse has been mistakenly attributed to Abraham Lincoln, in reference to the American Civil War. In reality, he was quoting the Lord Jesus. Christ was being accused of driving out demons by the power of the devil.
Jesus pointed out the illogical nature of His enemies' argument. A house divided against itself cannot stand. That's why if we claim to follow Him, we should be united with one another, notwithstanding our differences.
Of course, there are many Christian denominations. That seems to suggest that Jesus is saying His own Church cannot stand. There are many churches, but only one Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are diverse in our expressions of faith in the Lord, but united in our allegiance to Him.
As long as churches are built on Christ and His word, they will stand. If they start to decide they want to be politically correct rather than spiritually correct, they're heading for oblivion. What matters isn't public opinion, but God's truth.
'Heavenly Father, may we be united in the worship of You, for You are worthy of our praise. In Jesus' name, amen'.
