Love

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.

Philippians 1:9-10 (NLT)

To be loving is good, but love isn't static. It is a dynamic virtue that is either growing or in decline in our lives. We need to grow in knowledge and understanding, not just intellectually, but relationally.

Love is what really matters. If we were completely loving, we'd be pure and blameless. That's what we're made for.

We love, because God first loved us. He motivates our love. Our love doesn't earn His love, His love comes first.

The meaning of life is that we ought to love God wholeheartedly, and to love one another as we love ourselves. Humanly speaking, it's impossible. By the grace of God, we can do it.

'Heavenly Father, please help us to receive and to respond to Your love. May we grow in Christlikeness, so that we might honour You, in His name we pray, amen'
