Help

“LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains.

Psalm 107:13-14 NLT

This is basically the testimony of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. To believe in Him, we first must realise the trouble we’re in spiritually, and our need of salvation. We need to cry out to Him for help.

Thankfully, when we cry out to the Lord for help, He gladly saves us from our distress. The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. He gave His life so that we can go free from slavery to sin.

By default, we’re in spiritual darkness and deepest gloom. We’re in the devil’s dungeon. Mercifully, Christ is able and willing to set us free.

Spiritually, we’re wrapped in chains by our sinfulness. We’re slaves of the evil one. In His lovingkindness, Jesus wants to set us free, through faith in Him.

‘Lord, help us out of our slavery to sin and help us to live for Your glory we pray. For the honour of Your name, amen’.
