Grace

 

Titus 2:11-12 NLT

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.

 

The grace of God is revealed in the Lord Jesus Christ. He brings salvation to all people. Sadly, not all people take Him up on the offer of eternal life.

 

Having received Christ’s salvation, we must turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We’re not simply to ‘eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die’. It’s not enough to have a form of godliness but to deny its power because we’re functional atheists.

 

This world is evil. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to establish that, we only need to look at the secular news. We need to walk wisely, not just intellectually, but especially in thinking about how best to live to the glory of God.

 

Righteousness is about us putting our wisdom into practice. Our lives are to be devoted to God, not to selfish pleasures. By the grace of God we can become who He would have us to be.

 

‘Gracious God, please help us to turn from the vanity of this world to receive Your salvation. Please give us the wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to You that we need. In the name of Christ we pray, amen’.

Power

Family

  But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it."
