Peace

 ‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:14‬ ‭ESV‬
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

Peace doesn't come easily. It doesn't necessarily come by sitting cross-legged in a lotus position. The Bible says we have to strive for peace with everyone.

'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God' said Jesus. By implication, 'cursed are the troublemakers, for they shall be called children of the devil'. A peaceable spirit isn't optional for the believer in Jesus.

'Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God', says Jesus as well. By implication, 'cursed are the corrupt in heart, for they shall not see God'. If we don't let God cleanse our hearts by Christ's blood, He'll banish us to hell as we deserve.

We might think all we need is faith in Jesus, and we can live as we like. Yet the writer to the Hebrews insists that we should be holy as God is holy. It's not an optional extra for the Christian life.

'Holy God, please help us to be peaceable and holy for Your glory, amen'

Power

 But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.Exodus 9:16 ESVhttps://bible.com/bible/59/exo.9.16.ESV  Secular historians point to the lack of extra-biblical evidence of Hebrew slavery in Egypt and ensuing exodus. Helper

  Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. Psalm 54:4 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/psa.54.4.ESV Being a helper is a humble role. Humanly speaking, we want to be the main act, not the side show. Yet, even though God is the director of life, He isn't afraid to step on stage to help us out. We might assume that the helper is subordinate to the helped. After all, if someone is deemed worthy of help, they must be important, right? Jesus came not to be served but to serve however. To be helped doesn't require us to do anything. To help is greater than to be helped. Better to actively contribute to someone rather than to simply passively benefit from someone's assistance.
