King

 ‭Zechariah 14:9 ESV‬
And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The Lamb of God who was slain for the sins of the world is on the throne of heaven. The head that once was crowned with thorns is crowned with glory now.

There's only one Lord ultimately. There might be bosses, rulers, and false demonic gods. Yet Jesus is Lord over all.

There's only one Lord Jesus Christ. Different languages might have variations in how they say His name. Yet they're all referring to the Sovereign Saviour of God who's anointed with His Holy Spirit.

Whether we acknowledge Him or not, Jesus is Lord. It's a bit like Charles III is king of the UK whether people say 'not my king' or not. It's objectively true: He's even defeated death by His resurrection.

'Heavenly Father, please help us to acknowledge Christ's Kingship and Lordship over us, and may we honour Him in our lives. In His name we pray, amen'

Mercy

  For the Lord your God is a merciful God. He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them. Helper

  Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life. Psalm 54:4 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/psa.54.4.ESV Being a helper is a humble role. Humanly speaking, we want to be the main act, not the side show. Yet, even though God is the director of life, He isn't afraid to step on stage to help us out. We might assume that the helper is subordinate to the helped. After all, if someone is deemed worthy of help, they must be important, right? Jesus came not to be served but to serve however. To be helped doesn't require us to do anything. To help is greater than to be helped. Better to actively contribute to someone rather than to simply passively benefit from someone's assistance.
