Will
For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive.
Hebrews 9:17 ESV

Jesus died, and had, as it were, a will. Materialistically He was poor: 'the Son of Man has no place to lay His head'- apart from a borrowed tomb from a rich man. Even this was in fulfilment of an old prophecy.
Jesus's will was expressed to the dying criminal: 'today, you will be with Me in paradise'. That's what Jesus wants for us all, to be with Him in paradise. By paradise, He doesn't mean some kind of playboy mansion in the sky, but almost like a restored Eden, in a beautiful garden city.
Jesus's will is that we should enjoy eternity with Him. He doesn't leave us to our own devices in the new creation. He desires an intimate relationship with us.
Glory will be an embodied existence where we get to enjoy our inheritance in the presence of the One who died, and lives forevermore. Normally, we have to enjoy inheritances in the absence of the one we love. Not so with the resurrected Christ!
'Dear Lord, thank You that Your will for us isn't that we should perish, but to enjoy eternal life with You. Please help us to inherit Your forgiveness and reconciliation for eternity, for Your honour we pray, amen'
