Justice

to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.
Psalm 10:18 ESV

In an age with no welfare state or social services as such, there was greater reliance on God and godly people to provide for orphans and the oppressed. When Christ returns, justice will be served. In the meantime, injustice is forgivable; but we should strive to become just people.

Christ's return should be a comforting prospect to the fatherless and oppressed. Oppression will cease when He returns. God is a Father to the fatherless.

Even nowadays, people can cause terror. Think of how much misery and oppression Putin has caused for example. One day, the likes of him will get their comeuppance.

Until Christ returns, we ought to help the fatherless and marginalised in society. We want to be found about God's business when He returns. Otherwise, we might get swept away by the flood of His retribution.

'Our Heavenly Father, thank You that we can be adopted into Your family. Please help us to help the marginalised and needy, until Christ's return, in whose name we pray, amen'
