Finished
He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself.
Hebrews 7:27 ESV

The Hebrew Christians were tempted to go back to their old religious Jewish ways, as familiar to them as Christmas trees and tinsel might be to us. Here, the writer to them urges them to consider Christ, who died once and for all to deliver His people. Whether we're Jews or Gentiles, we can be redeemed from our sins by the blood of Jesus.
Even the high priests of the old covenant were only a shadow of the substance who is Christ. They were sinners themselves, which meant they had to sacrifice for their own sins, never mind anyone else. Jesus however is the perfect sacrifice for sin.
Not only is Christ the perfect sacrifice for sin, but He also defeated death. Now He ever lives to make intercession for us. 'Because He lives, I can face tomorrow'.
The work of salvation is finished. We don't need to add to it. We don't need to strive, we can rest in Christ and His finished work on the cross.
'Dear Father God, please help us to rest in You, for there's no need to strive- Christ has achieved our salvation. In His name we pray, amen'
