Remember
and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, that you may know that I am the Lord."
Exodus 10:2 ESV

Why did God harden the hearts of Pharoah and his servants? In order to teach His people that He is sovereign. God's in control, not the leader of some superpower.
How will people remember covid? Hopefully God's people will recognise it as a plague which demonstrates God's sovereignty even over scientific mankind with our development of vaccines. May we not forget that God is in control, and we need to submit to His Lordship in our lives.
The Christian faith isn't only individualistic, about JAM: Jesus And Me. It's to be handed down to subsequent generations. Our responsibility is to make God known. Subsequent generations have a responsibility to put their trust in Him.
God is fair, but He's also harsh with those who rebel against Him. This ought to serve as a warning to us. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
'Almighty God of glory, may we submit to Your Majesty, and worship You as You deserve. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray, amen'
