Faithful

 God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

This verse has to be taken with a pinch of salt. It was spoken by a man paid to curse God's people. Thankfully, an undeserved curse doesn't stick, and God only allowed him to bless instead.

God might not be a man, but He became a Man so that we can be reconciled to God. Through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ we can have peace with God. The Bible is full of God's fulfilled promises to save His people.

Thankfully, God isn't like men. We lie, and are deceitful. Every word of God is true.

God promises that all who come to Him in faith will be made righteous by the blood of Jesus. Christ crucified is the means by which we can be saved. Our sins deserve punishment, but Jesus took them upon Himself on the cross.

'Almighty Lord God, thank You for being faithful and true, unlike us! Please help us to trust You and to become more like You by Your Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus we pray, amen'

Power

Family

  But he answered them, "My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it."
